Meet Old Jimmy
This 1942 GMC pickup has been in the Mesa family for over 70 years! In 1947, Al Goffredi, a Mesa College graduate and teacher, traded this family farm truck to the College. Used as the main vehicle for the facilities crew for many years, the truck was well known on campus. Later named "Old Jimmy", the pickup was given to the Alumni Association in hopes of restoring it to its former glory. Thanks to the help of Al Goffredi, US Bank, Shear Inc. and Fuoco Motors, the truck will be enjoyed by CMU for years to come.
Old Jimmy is a sight to see at events around campus, in the alumni zone, at Commencement and other alumni festivities! Check out our Old Jimmy Facebook album to see more photos of this beautiful truck.
