2026 is a year to celebrate — Colorado turns 150, and the nation marks 250 years of independence. Join Colorado Mesa University for our official America 250-Colorado 150 celebration on August 1, Colorado Day.
The ceremony will include an unveiling of a 150ft tall flagpole by officially raising a 40'x80' American flag and a 35'x55' Colorado flag. The flags will be raised at 10 am, following the presentation of colors by Central High School ROTC and a ceremony honoring local veterans. The ceremony will include live music and several special features
Lunch to follow at 11:30 am.
