Alumni Card Benefits

As part of the CMU alumni family, you are eligible for some fantastic benefits. The Alumni Association offers benefits within the University, throughout the local community and beyond.

• The Maverick Store

  Alumni may take advantage of a 10% discount on purchases through the Maverick Store, excluding textbooks and software. To obtain the discount when purchasing online, enter "ALUMNI" in the promo field at checkout. When making purchase in the bookstore, show your membership card to get the discount.

• Access to Handshake

  Career Services maintains a database of job announcements that include full-time, part-time, seasonal work and internship opportunities. These announcements are available to all current students and alumni. The database allows for interactive searching by keywords such as title, employer and qualifications. Handshake is a free platform to students, alumni and employers.

• Performing Arts

  Show your alumni card at the box office when you purchase performing arts tickets receive the discounted rate (same as the senior price).

• Hamilton Recreation Center

  Members of the Colorado Mesa University Alumni Association may purchase monthly passes directly from Hamilton Recreation Center.

• Tomlinson Library

  To check books out of the Tomlinson Library, alumni must present an Alumni MAVcard or an Alumni Benefits Card at the front desk. Alumni have selective access to the library and its online resources. Alumni are allowed to check out up to 25 items, including CDs, DVDs, multimedia, bestsellers, and Interlibrary Loan items.

• Outdoor Program

  The Outdoor Program (OP) provides quality and affordable educational and recreational outdoor experiences to all CMU students, faculty and alumni. CMU Alumni can take part in trips, clinics, and equipment rentals.

• Next Generation Scholarship

  Children of CMU Alumni are eligible for a $1,000 annual scholarship (renewable for 4 years and can be stacked on top of other awards).

• CMU License Plates

  Colorado Mesa University alumni, supporters, students and employees have a great way to show their Maverick pride. CMU license plates are available to Colorado motorists through their local clerk and recorder’s office.
